Back from North Carolina

Got back yesterday from NC. It was a lot of fun. I find it so interesting how friendly the people are outside of Florida. It would be nice to live there because there is so much to do and it's absolutely beautiful! However, mountains and snow….I am way too lazy to shovel snow!

We stayed in a little cabin in the woods and I was amazed at how loud the bugs are at night! No bears in sight, but we did catch a glimpse of a deer.

We went rafting down the French Broad River and I actually jumped off the boat and took a swim. The next day we went to sliding rock. There were people there playing in 48 degree water. I did not partake in that activity for fear the water would stop my heart.

The best part was Chimney Rock. I did some rock climbing there and it was loads of fun. I plan to do more of that, but most likely in GA since it’s closer to home.

Anyway, once I catch-up on all my mail, etc…I plan to get back into writing. I have almost finished my novella – Aunt Helen.
